Thank You............

This man...............

.........would like me to say thank you to everybody that has left wonderful and supportive comments on my last post.

His bruises are nice and ripe today, but they're only bruises (and a couple of broken teeth)! It could have been so much more, quite a few drivers have suffered more, stabbing and broken bones to name a couple. So he is fine, back at work listening to the good natured and supportive banter from his work mates, I think 'Rocky' might be his nickname for a week or two?? LOL.

It's nice to know that most of us are decent, hard working people who have taught and are teaching our children the values that will make them 'good' adults!!

Thanks..................

Oh, the photo.........three years ago, his 60th and yes I made the cake!! He's always been a locomotive addict........

Gosh Lizzie, as you say what on earth is happening in the world today? If I found out that that had been one of mine that had hurt your dear husband I would be marching the little bugger (excuse me) down to the police station to learn his lesson. That is totally not acceptable. Why do people think it is okay to do this to people. Thankfully I am 99.9% certain none of mine would even consider this but what is it that goes through the heads of people who do it? I am so pleased that your husband wasn't more severely hurt, he is a brave man going back to work today.
hugs Deb

I'm glad your DH is ok -- the poor thing. I love that picture of him with that fantastic cake! My son used to be heavy into trains when he was a little one, but he seems to have grown out of it. I guess your DH kept up with the trains unlike my son! lol! Tell him we all think he's great! And so are you!

I am just now catching up and I am distressed by the ugly event your husband and YOU had to endure. I, too, do not know what is wrong with the wrold. Too many spoilt children who, at the risk of bruising their self esteem, have never been told they are wrong. Not so in my house. I am Happy that Your Old Man is doing well.

We are train lovers in this house too. That is one incredible cake!

I'm glad to hear that hubbie is feeling better and he can have a little joke with his mates about it. Too bad about the teeth though - I hope he doesn't require too many visits to the dentist.

I think it is very bad bruises and broken teeth. Thats terrible. To be physical attact while he is doing his job. I would think about quiting or retiring. It's to dangerous. Hope he heals both physical and emotional.

God bless your day, I'm glad you have that "keep on, keeping on" attitude. That's how we win over the ill wills at work!

Aahh Lizzie how sad for your wonderful man to encounter such violence in a job he loves so much. I am glad to hear it wasn't worse than what it was. I have been wondering about the knife culture Melbourne seems to be breeding at the moment, what is going on? On a lighter note, you are so amazing...where do you start making a train cake like that, how clever! xo

So glad he is doing ok and back at work. It takes courage to go back. The loco cake is adorable.

What is going on in our world, indeed?? We can no longer confront wrong doers or just plain mean-spirited people without fear of retaliation such as your good husband endured. So glad he is okay & healing. Take care of each other.

I hope worker's comp covers the teeth?? A few trips to the dentist could be quite costly. Kharma will come back and bite those boys in the butt!

I was quite disturbed and relieved to read about your DH, It's all I'm hearing about on the news lately. Glad he's fine. Wow on the cake, I used to do cake decorating in a past life. The train is amazing.

Last week we thought that spring had been arrived..... I am so sorry to read about your husband. I thought that those things only happen in Europe(I am Dutch such sort of things happens often there) I am going look around on your blog.
