Back in the garden..........

Eleven days to winter.....

...you wouldn't think so with the sunshine we've had this week....

....the afternoon sun hitting the Japanese Maple outside one of the windows in my sewing room......

....turns it into a fiery, golden red ball of loveliness...

Underneath the roses and the Maple is this little village of faerie fungi.....

....a veritable landscape of tiny abodes for tiny beings......

...they must have all been out doing faerie things the day I visited!!

Oh so pretty! Lots of fairy rings here too. I just love the colder weather. I love to have my fire going and be sitting in my big comfy chair with needle and thread. Bliss!

Gorgeous. A Japanese maple and a decorative grape vine are on my garden shopping list.

Lizzie, I am just green...fall is my favorite season of all. The tree is just beautiful. Absolutely adore the mushrooms. Too bad they can't be tossed in a salad. Enjoy the cool weather coming your way. Thinking of you in hot, hot, hot Texas.

Blissfully Stitching,
Bobbie

That maple tree is beautiful - I love autumn colours. In my garden I have a red beech that has just unfurled it's leaves. And it is now warm enough to sit outside and sew. Heavenly!

Beautiful Lizzie! I love your garden! Thanks for posting pictures. It always catches me by surprise how we have opposite seasons! We are hoping to get into spring (although the weather is still coldish and the summer supposedly only a month away...). Love the beautiful colours of the leaves!!

It has been lovely Lizzie hasn't it? I am still leaving the french doors at the back of the house open in the afternoons to let the autumn sun (and warmth) in.... just beautiful!
