I love moda & something special in the air........

...just in case you didn't know this :o)

Yesterday's mail brought these little beauties....

Chocolate of the best kind..........

dark............

...and light!

A little Christmas in July (well nearly)....

..ho ho ho, a little Christmas banner coming up!

Talking about July, next Thursday the 1st is my birthday, if you look at my profile it will tell you how many years ago it was that I was a babe in my mother's arms!!

I let my 100th post and two year blogaversary pass and I'm nearly at 200 posts AND nearly 200 followers!! How on earth did that happen? I live a very ordinary, some might say boring, life. I'm honoured and humbled that so many lovely people take the time to see what I'm up to!! That so many of you leave caring and supportive comments, honestly I feel that I've known you all for years! Thank you...
I decided that I would have a giveaway to celebrate my birthday, it's always nice to receive but it's especially nice to give too!
I have some little things from Sew it Together that I thought one of you would like and I'll add some other bits and pieces through the week, it's a special birthday for me so a special giveaway prize is called for. Next week, on my birthday, I'll give all the comment numbers for June to Mr Random and see who he spits out. That's it, no hoops to jump, no posting to do, no following for more chances and certainly no twittering (always sounds like an aviary)! Just me sending somebody something to say thanks for putting up with me for so long ;o)

xxxxx

p.s. I would just like to say congratulations to our new Prime Minister. I was a very proud woman watching Australia's first female Governor General swearing in Australia's first female Prime Minister! A small moment in history for our young nation...
Go Julia.........

Love your fabrics, Lizzie and many happy returns for your upcoming birthday. It's no chore to read your blog. :)

Whilst I am proud to have our first woman PM (particularly Julia) I am sorry to see Kevin go in such a fashion. He is a good man with a good heart, in my view.

Dearest Lizzie,

It is a privilege to get to read your blogs...thank you for sharing yourself with US! Ordinary can be extraordinary, and I've enjoyed this window on your quilting life in Australia. I have especially enjoyed being a part of your Civil War Bride Blog and adventure, and continue to enjoy that shared journey.

Many returns on your special day!

(I had no idea that Moda made the candy bar shape...I could never resist a chocolate bar...) LOL

In stitches,
Teresa :o)

Gorgeous shopping and many happy returns for the
1st. You were a little tax package baby, born at the beginning of the financial year.
I hope Julia leads us well. I heard a long time ago that male rulers lead with the sword and women lead with the lamp. I hope that's the case. Not sure about Maggie Thatcher tho'.... that's another story.
