What clever children I have....

....really, I do.  ;o)

I've been meaning to write this post for a week or so but somehow or other I seem to have less hours in my days lately......I've no idea who stole the couple of hours that I seem to have been missing every day but I would appreciate it greatly if you'd please return them unscathed and empty and we'll say nothing else about it...!!!  :o)

Anyway, my youngest daughter (the artist) has just started a blog and it's all linked up to her website, Facebook and her online shop (clever girl), so she's having a little competition to promote it all.
Sarah is giving away a signed and numbered reduction lino print, this is what she says on her FB page..

"Remember guys, for a chance to win a signed and numbered reduction lino print (multi colour print), like my page (if you haven't already) and write a note on my wall telling me what your favourite type of art is and why. Spread the word - comp runs for 4 weeks!! Winner
will be randomly drawn on March 11th."

Here's a link to her Facebook page

and her new blog

If you don't have a Facebook account you can simply email Sarah at  giventoart76@gmail.com and tell her what your favourite type of art is and you'll be in the competition.

She has just had this canvas accepted to be part of a two month exhibition at the Red Rock Regional Gallery in Cororooke, Victoria (just outside Colac for the Aussies), I'll be off to see that next month, well after her wedding of course (less than three weeks now:o).....

So if you're in the area during March and April please go and have a look at her work (and all the other amazing artists) that's on display and for sale!

You can read the news story of how the gallery came to be HERE..

I know you've been waiting....

..to see these. They're obviously not my photos and the truth is I didn't get my camera out of my camera bag AT ALL!!!! Oh my, I'm still in withdrawal about that, these were all taken by my very talented eldest daughter, I took these off her Facebook page tonight....

.. here's the cake....
I was really pleased with how it turned out..

...so were the bride and groom....

..tasted good too...

..the new Mr & Mrs leaving the church..

 ...me and my boy...

now this one I did take but with my daughters camera, our eldest daughter Bec, son-in-law Tony, Ryan and Caitlin..

...the next bride and groom (less than four weeks for this one now, have to start their cake soon :o), youngest daughter Sarah, her handsome American Matthew, Sam, Eden, Emily and Matthew (little dude)..

...nana, grandad and six beautiful grandkids.... :o)

I'm out of here now, feet are still aching... I had lots of lessons in dancing the Zorba, along with many other Greek traditions. It  was an amazing day and night and we were very, very proud of the younger Mr & Mrs McMahon, Annie was a beautiful and gracious bride and Chris is a besotted husband who danced all night with his bride. now it's time for me to catch up with some sleep.
I'll post some more photos when I have the full resolution shots to show you....

This boy.....

....my last baby, my blonde dynamo, my rebel....

...the one who tried to fly off the back fence complete with super hero cape, the one who thought he could walk through hot coals, the one that ate the pebbles his siblings were pretending were sweets/lollies in their pretend shop, the one that never walked when a run would do, the one who just had to jump on the stick that he'd balanced on a rock and sever the tendon in his ankle, the one that just had to try everything, the one with no fear, the one that made my stomach drop more often than the others, the one that put my head in my hands with the cry of 'what's he done now?', the one that scared me the most when he learned to drive, the one that calls me Ma, the one that always surprised me with a bunch of 'wildflowers' (aka weeds), the one that will readily admit to being a 'bit of a mum's boy' with a big wide grin..........

where did the years go, how did I blink and he grew into a man, a man that followed his Dad and became a railway man too, a man who still calls me Ma, a man who still likes to drive fast cars, still likes to take risks and chances, still grabs life and holds on tight.....

this boy will be waiting at the alter for his girl to walk down and join him today....

this boy will become a husband today and I couldn't be happier for him....

this boy will make his Mum cry today....

this boy will make his Mum and Dad proud today....

love you big time Chris & Annie
