goodbyes...

are never easy when it's grandkids you're leaving behind, but tomorrow I head back to the airport for the four hour flight home to Victoria.....

It's been a fun filled, noisy few days...lots of shopping with and without the kids...

Saturday morning we watched Emily play netball......in torrential rain!

Luckily there was shelter for me, my camera and Penelope....

I think she was the only person dry......

a first birthday party complete with cake we made on Friday...

A good friend of my daughters celebrated her little girls first birthday yesterday......

she's a bit of a stunner is Miss Siena and very photogenic..!

today the rain stayed away and there was some blue sky so I finally got to do this.....

walking on the beach in winter is so good...

The sand (and water) was cold but it was lovely walking barefoot along the beach....

there were lots of these little bluebottles washed up with the tide, such a gorgeous colour...

it's a lovely place to be for a while in winter....

and having this girl for company is always special.....

a photo shoot in the sunshine today....

so goodbye Western Australia, it's been awesome as usual despite the rain........tomorrow morning I'll be back on a jet plane heading home...

So lovely that you were able to visit and meet Penelope so soon after her arrival. It's always special to spend time with family. Safe trip home.

Thank you for sharing these special moments with family and the newest little one. It is always so difficult to go - but now you can look ahead to a future visit!

Gorgeous images and your Siena has the loveliest blue eyes. What a sweetheart!

How happy you must have been to have them all around you. I love the baby's name: Penelope....so romantic. Do you know that there is an old rose, very delicate with that name?
See you SOON
